AI Search
Ask ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude about your business, you'll get three answers, and some are wrong.
Whitespark demonstrated something every business owner should test this week: ask three AI assistants the same question about a local business and you can get three different, sometimes flatly wrong, answers.
The example
Using a real cafe, they showed ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude returning meaningfully different responses about the same business, details, offerings, specifics. Most owners have no idea this is even happening, let alone that customers may be acting on the wrong version.
Why it happens (and why it matters)
AI assistants assemble answers from whatever they can find and trust across the web, your site, your Google profile, directories, reviews. When those signals are thin or inconsistent, the AI fills the gaps, and sometimes it fills them wrong. As more people ask an assistant before they call, those answers quietly shape who gets the business. Getting the AIs to describe your business correctly is its own discipline now, consistent details everywhere, a strong profile, the right signals in the right places. It's exactly what our AI-search and Local SEO work is for. We'd rather the robots quote you accurately than guess.
If AI is going to talk about your business, it should get it right. That's marketing made with love.
