Google put an AI assistant inside your Business Profile, here's what it changes.

Edward Sturm highlighted a quietly big update: Gemini, Google's AI, is now built into Google Business Profile, helping manage reviews, categories, and posts with a conversational assistant right inside the platform.

    What it does

The integration lets you analyze reviews, get category suggestions, and draft content without leaving your profile. For a busy owner, that's a real productivity win, some of the grunt work of managing a listing gets faster.

    The catch worth knowing

Convenience isn't the same as strategy. An in-profile AI can help you do the task; it can't tell you which categories actually win in your market, how your profile should reinforce your website, or how to earn reviews that move rankings. Used well it's a helper. Leaned on blindly, it's how a lot of profiles end up generic and interchangeable. We use tools like this to move faster, not to replace judgment, the strategy is still where local visibility is won, and it's what our Local SEO work delivers.

The AI can hold the pen. Someone still has to know what to write. That's marketing made with love.
